3 days to go...
For those of you who are like me & like to leave gift buying until the last minute, we will be temporarily closing the gift list so that our lovely next door neighbour doesn't get bombarded with things to look after for us while we're away. It will be back online after the wedding so please do check back in mid March. Thank you!
See you on Saturday :)

One week...
Hi everyone! Only a week to go!
We're in the frantic finalising everything phase but it seems to be getting there - we've just bought some of the alcohol so clearly have our priorities right!
Just a reminder that the service starts promtly at 1pm. Please make sure you are at the venue in plenty of time.
For those of you with children we have a very exciting party planned with lots of fun activities in the village hall so please check ealier blog posts about location. The hall will be open and Sara the Party Princess will be welcoming children to the hall from 12.30. If you're not sure, the ushers will be able to point you in the right direction when you get to the church.
If you're going to be in town (either Peterborough or Stamford) the night before, let me know and I can keep you in the loop with any activities we have the night before the wedding. We're still waiting on a couple of things before solidifying anything but it will probably be something very informal and involve helping to dress the venue.
See you all in a week!

IMPORTANT FOOD REQUEST
Hi Everyone!
If you're coming to the wedding reception (the meal or the ceilidh - and don't forget: if you're invited to the service, you're invited to the meal!) please please please let us know if you have any dietry requirements before the end of this week (ie. by Friday 7th February).
If you are bringing children who are young enough to not eat solids yet, we'd really appreciate it if you could bring some baby food with you as unfortunately this doesn't appear to be something that our caterers cover. With babies having such varied tastes we thought this would be better than us providing the wrong baby food for you! Please do let us know if this is the case as we have to have the absolute final food details sent to the caterers at the end of the week.
Thanks!
Thanks!

House and wedding gift list...
Hi everyone,
The big news for us today is that we have our house! We're really excited as it's taken a lot longer than we could have imagined and its good to know the work on it will keep us busy for the next few years! We would love it if any of you wanted to come and see us and stay over once were married.
In other exciting news this means that at last we have an address! Which also means our gift list is live here. Please put in one of our surnames (Searle or Johnson to access the list from this page). We've gone for a bit of a mix of things that will be useful for setting up home together for the first time and things that will make the place nice and homely. Hopefully there's something for all tastes and budgets!
Thank you :)

Children at the wedding
Hi everyone!
IMPORTANT INFO IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN!
For those of you coming to the church and bringing children, you should have had some info sent with your invite but just in case we missed anyone out, here's what you need to know!
Children are welcome for all parts of the day but during the service we will have some super-awesome babysitters on hand in the Colonel Dane Memorial Hall (the village hall in Alwalton) for the duration of the service. When you arrive at the church, the ushers will be able to point you in the right direction for the hall.
The hall will be open from before the start of the service and you will be able to pick your children up as soon as you like afterwards. For babies and children under 18 months, we will have ushers on hand to find you nice seats in the church close to an exit if you need to make a swift get away at any point!
All children are invited to all other parts of the day too. If you are coming to the meal and have a baby, please let us know so that we can have a chat about food. We will be having bangers and mash for the meal but as Dave and I don't really know anything about children, I suspect this isn't good for babies. Feel free to bring along any food you will need for babies/toddlers.
The ceilidh in the evening is great fun for people of all ages from toddlers to grannies! However as I'm sure it will be pretty noisy with lots of merry guests we hope to have a separate quiet room if you would like some piece and quiet with your children.
Please feel free to bring along toys or activities to keep your children entertained! we are hoping to have something child-friendly for children to do but with a wide range of ages and with not much time left for us to plan things, you are more than welcome to bring your own.

Invite clarification...
Hi everyone!
I just want to clarify different timings for the wedding as we've had a few people ask...
For those invited from 1pm: you are invited to the service, meal and ceilidh.
For those invited from 3.30pm: you are invited to the yummy meal and ceilidh.
For those invited from 7.30pm: you are invited to the amazing ceilidh.
I hope that helps everything. You should all have my phone number and email so please do let me know if you have any questions about the day.

Wedding List
A couple of people have asked us about gifts recently...
We are holding off from publishing our list until we have our house and therefore have a delivery address!
As soon as it's available, you will be able to access the list here. Why not check back in the new year for an update? Thanks so much for you kind generosity.
